Async rituals that survived a twelve-hour time gap

Illustration for Async rituals that survived a twelve-hour time gap

Time gaps punish vague updates. We standardized four short rituals: Monday intent, Wednesday artifact drop, Friday decision log, and optional Tuesday office thread.

Each ritual has a template with three prompts: what moved, what is blocked, what needs a signature this week. Prompts are boring on purpose so clients fill them quickly.

We also require a visible activity log inside the shared workspace. Not for surveillance—for memory. When someone asks why a deadline moved, the log answers without a meeting.

None of this replaces synchronous workshops for major pivots. It simply keeps the quiet days from eroding trust.
